It is a truth universally acknowledged… that stress happens.

Recently I discovered that writing is not a ‘hobby’ for me but rather a stress-busting necessity.

Whether its via novels, short stories, memoir, poems…I NEED to take my experiences and transform them through the creative writing process.

When I am in the writing zone, I am in a safe and vital space, where the alchemical magic of creativity washes clean the grit of challenging experiences.

Through writing, I grapple with, transmute, clarify and then knead out and release emotional knots. And that feels sooooo good on my nervous system.

Yes, writing is enjoyment. It is communication. It is connection. It is ‘story telling’. It is ‘publishing’.

AND it is essential and foundational to the health of my interior/exterior landscape.

I wonder if all writers feel the same?
